Kindness flows through generations at CSU

CSU Giving
When Dave Bower graduated as a CSU Honors student in the early 2000s, he launched his life with many mementos and lessons and a book of naturalist John Muir’s writings. The book was a graduation-time gift from Jack and June Richardson, the donors who created the scholarship that gave him the support to dream big as a natural resources student.
Years went by and Bower became a practicing lawyer, pouring his energy into water rights and conservation law in Colorado. On a recent trip to Scotland for leisure, a Muir quote stopped him in his tracks and instantly reminded him of the Richardsons. That’s Bower, shown above with June and her daughter Cathy during a recent reconnection in Fort Collins all these years later.
And, as it goes, kindness has a way of flowing and rippling like water.
