Dramaturgical Studies Leading to the Creation of Postmodernist Theatre

Does creating an original piece of theatre sound scary to you? Well, it’s not. In this course we will learn the history of modernist and postmodernist theatre and create our own original work of theatre. Students will learn how to generate ideas, do historical and artistic research and develop a multi-media piece of theatre. Each step of the process will be demystified and students will learn some formulas and tools in order to create an original work of theatre. Skills learned in this course will cover originating a theme, writing dialogue and monologues, and developing movie montages, sound design, costuming and acting.
