Honors Enrichment Award
The sky is the limit, and Honors@CSU is here to help students achieve their goals. The Honors Enrichment Award provides assistance to students who are looking to enhance their education through some kind of extra-curricular activity.
What is the Honors Enrichment Award
Each semester, students can apply for up to $400 to help achieve an enriching experience. This award can be used toward individual enrichment for things such as travel to attend academic conferences or studying abroad, support for prestigious scholarship/award applications, or other research opportunities. Additionally, these funds could be used for group enrichments such as starting a club, participating in community service, sponsoring cultural events, or bringing speakers/presenters to a club event. In the past, students have requested funds to support things such as starting a Mock Trial team at CSU and creating a chapter of MedLife at CSU. Many have used this award to help offset costs for education abroad opportunities or unpaid internships or fieldwork. Others have used the funds to attend professional conferences or to attend national competitions. Honors wants to see students succeed beyond the classroom.
Eligibility and Selection Process
- Must be a full-time Honors student at CSU in good academic standing (3.0 or above).
- Priority will be given to first-time applicants.
- Students who receive a Thesis Improvement Grant are not eligible in the same academic year.
- Only one Enrichment award may be received in the same academic year.
Applications will be reviewed by an Honors Award committee and approved on the basis of educational merit, benefits in relation to cost, and the availability of funds.
Funds will be deposited into the student account at the end of the fall or spring semester, depending upon when the student applies.
