The following Welcome Week events are designed to help you build community within Honors, prepare you for a successful school year, and help you enjoy all that CSU has to offer. Explore Old Town Fort Collins

Academic Village Honors Fireside Lounge

Join the University Honors Program for a group trip exploring Old Town Fort Collins. Old Town has many shops, restaurants, and activities that students can take advantage of during their time at CSU. To explore with fellow Honors students, meet in the Fireside Lounge of Academic Village Honors. We will walk to the MAX bus station and ride downtown as a community.


Hike to the “A” Meetup

Do you want to attend RamWelcome’s Hike to the “A” with your Honors community? Meet in the Academic Village Honors Fireside Lounge build friendships with FREE breakfast snacks. We will then walk to the Alumni Center together to board busses to the trailhead. The hike is 4 miles long and has 500 feet of elevation gain, so a water bottle and closed toe shoes are required.

MANDATORY First Year Matriculation Ceremony

First year students are invited to the mandatory 2026 Honors Matriculation Ceremony, a celebration for beginning your journey with the Colorado State University Honors Program. You will become more familiarized with what the Honors Program really is, get a taste of the Honors experience, and build relationships with your peers. FREE dessert will be provided (first year students only).


Coffee and Conversations

Academic Village Honors Fireside Lounge

Honors is more than a curriculum; it is a community. As a member of the Honors Program, you have access to a holistic support system dedicated to enhancing your college experience. Stop by the Fireside Lounge in Academic Village the first week of classes for FREE tea and coffee. While you enjoy, different Honors leaders will be present for conversation. Come charge up for a full day of classes while connecting with your Honors family.

Community Dinners

Come on over for a family dinner! Honors will be hosting FREE community dinners in Academic Village.
